A shadow grew where light once lived, and from the darkness, a message appeared: “Where is she?” The words clawed at his thoughts, questions that wriggled like worms in the quiet of his mind. Was it a dream, a warning, or the breaking of something more? His heart raced, not knowing whether to seek or to turn away— But the pull was stronger than the fear. And so, he leapt. Not toward the unknown, but away from the peace he had known. He had forgotten how to swim—but that didn’t matter. Nothing mattered now. The peace was lost. The past, gone.
