Tomba Wiki:Edit guide/Categories
If you're creating a new page, it helps to add a category to the page. This makes it possible to easily find related pages, and ensures that each page properly fits into the structure of the wiki.
Here's a list of the most important categories. If you're making a new page, consider if it should be added to one of these—and if not, that's fine, feel free to make new ones too where that seems sensible. Please add the category here if you do. Ask around on our Discord server if you're not sure.
By Wikipedia style convention, our categories are plural.
If a page is uncategorized, it will show up on the Uncategorized Pages list.
Main content categories
These are the most important categories for all primary content.
Game information
History and development
- Companies that were directly involved in Tomba in some way. Companies that have only a peripheral involvement should not be included. For example: Sony—Tomba was on the PlayStation but Sony had no particular involvement otherwise.
- Interviews with people directly involved in Tomba.
- Prototype builds and demos.
- Information given out to the press for the purpose of coverage.
- Notable instances of Tomba being mentioned in magazines, on TV, or in any other form of mass media.
Technical information
- Any kind of technical information that we learned about the games themselves, such as how particular algorithms work.
- Extracted data, assets and graphics, or articles about it.
- Articles about emulating Tomba.
- Articles about mods to the original games.
Promotional materials
- Documentation of Tomba advertisements, either in magazines or on TV or in other forms.
- Tomba trailer videos.
- Official press releases about Tomba.
- Promotional campaigns designed to bring visibility to the games. These can be giveaways, discounts, videos, in-person events, and so on.
- Goodies and items designed for promotional purposes.
- Magazines that have had notable coverage of Tomba.
Community
- Any kind of fan work. Can include music, art and videos as well.
- Fan music. Remixes, performances, music composed "in the style of", and so on.
- Any kind of fan art.
- Video productions about Tomba.
- Communities, either websites or Discord server or anything else.
- Speedruns of Tomba.
