Famitsu magazine is a prominent Japanese video gaming magazine and was one of the most influential gaming publications around the time of Tomba's development.

In issue no.548, Famitsu ran a preview for Tomba 2. The game is said to be 70% complete at this point. The preview is on pp.24-27.
