Since the first three issues of the Tomba 2 manga pretty much follow the same story as the game the opening stays the same, and The Village of All Beginnings makes an appearance when Tomba and Charles go to read the letter.

The Village of All Beginnings is an area seen and both games and the starting point of the first game.

Tomba 1

Tomba starting his adventure in the Village of All Beginnings in the first game.

In the first Tomba game The Village of All Beginnings is the starting area and gives the player the time to learn the controls, there are also some signs explaining the controls to the player.

Furthermore the player will meet Charles, a monkey that will be seen a few more times in the game, there is also a Kokka Egg which contains a single Chick which needs to be collected for the 100 Year Old Man. The player is unable to continue until they cleared the fog with the Furious Tornado, which can be obtained by falling on or hitting the mailbox with a weapon.

The Village of All Beginnings branches out to a lot of other areas:

  • Forest of All Beginnings
  • 100 Year Old Man's Hut
  • Behind the Hut
  • Ol' Pond
  • Witch's Hut

The player can visit most of these areas at the start of the game with the exception of the Witch's hut, which is only accessible after turning on the Civilization Machine in the Iron Castle.

There is also a big Mansion in the background which can only be access via Mushroom Forest.

Forest of All Beginnings

The berry dropping down into the Biting Plant In the Forest of All Beginnings.

After the player clears the fog they have access to the Forest of All Beginnings, were the player can find Yan and a passage to Ol' Pond.

The area also contains two Kokka Eggs which both contain one chick which are needed to progress the story after meeting the 100 Year Old Man.

It is also possible to obtain the Biting Plant Flower by hitting the Blue Berry with a weapon (That isn't a Boomerang or Grapple) and dropping it down into a Biting Plant, thus transforming it into a flower.

100 Year Old Man's Hut

After following the road and climbing up the stone structure, the player will arrive at the 100 Year Old Man's Hut and meet the 100 Year Old Wise Man. The 100 Year Old Wise Man explains that he is preoccupied with the Red Kokka Birds stole the eggs with the chicks inside them and asks Tomba to collect them and return to him, if the player doesn't have all four Chicks collect the 100 Year Old Wise Man will kick the player out off his house all the way down to the Forest of All Beginnings. If the player does have all four Chicks the 100 Year Old Wise Man will tell the Story of the Evil Pigs, were it is explained that the Evil Pigs stole Tomba's Bracelet because it was made out of gold. After that a rope will come down and the player can continue to the Dwarf Forest.

Behind the Hut

After clearing the purple bubbles on the side of the big house in The Village of All Beginnings, the player can access a small area with a deflated GoGoCar, which can be inflated and be hopped on after using the Fuel Bar that is obtained in the Lumberjack Factory where then the Dirt Motocross course can be accessed.

The player can also walk up to the fence to start an short cutscene which shows the Motocross Course.

Ol' Pond

The Ol' Pond can be accessed via entering the small house in the Forest of All Beginnings, here the player can jump on the back of a turtle which carries Tomba to the other side of the Pond, where they will meet the Fisherman, who mockingly asks Tomba if he can swim before dropping him into the water, luckily Tomba is saved by the turtle and, after the Fisherman gives him some Bananas, will return him to the other side of the pond.

Witch's Hut

The Witch's Hut can be accessed via entering the door in the big house in The Village of All Beginnings, were the player will meet Mizuno the Witch.

The room also contains a big cauldron where the player can use certain items in front of to make the Golden Candy.

Tomba 2

While not a playable area in Tomba 2, The Village of All Beginnings makes a small appearance in the opening cutscene after Tomba and Charles see a letter falling inside the mailbox. The Village of All Beginnings also makes a small appearance in the opening of the game when Tomba and Charles open the letter and meet Zippo.

In the opening cutscene it is also possible to see a small portion of the Mansion.
